About us

Who we are

HOPRAYAS FOUNDATION TRUST is a public charitable trust established for purely charitable and public purposes, committed to ethical, transparent, and need-based humanitarian service.

The Trust builds upon sustained grassroots work carried out since 2018 through KPBB (Kashmiri Pandit Blood Bank) — a volunteer-led network of voluntary blood donors (not a physical blood bank) that has helped save thousands of lives through timely coordination of voluntary blood, platelet, and plasma donations across India, with major on-ground efforts in Jammu city, Chandigarh, and Delhi NCR.

KPBB has conducted multiple voluntary blood donation camps and awareness programmes and has evolved into a strong humanitarian movement supported by thousands of voluntary donors and supporters from India and abroad, united by a shared commitment to saving lives ethically, without profit or discrimination.

With the expansion of work across regions and social causes, HOPRAYAS FOUNDATION TRUST was formed to provide a formal, inclusive, and pan-India legal platform to strengthen, sustain, and scale humanitarian efforts with transparency and accountability.

HOPRAYAS FOUNDATION TRUST is a non-profit public charitable trust working for relief of the poor, advancement of education, medical relief, social welfare and general public utility, as defined under the Income-tax Act, 1961.

The Trust focuses on ground-level impact rather than publicity, guided by compassion, responsibility, and accountability.

Leadership by Example

Leadership:
The humanitarian initiative was led by Ashwani Sadhu, whose personal commitment to voluntary service has been instrumental in shaping KPBB into a national life-saving movement.

Believing firmly in leading by example, he has been a regular voluntary blood donor and completed his 53rd voluntary blood donation on 23 October 2025, inspiring countless individuals across India to donate blood selflessly and ethically.
He also took the initiative to establish a Mega Seva Shivir during MahaKumbh 2025 at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

Throughout the entire MahaKumbh Mela 2025, thousands of pilgrims were provided free stay and langar (bhandara) as part of a large-scale, seva-driven humanitarian effort.

This culture of action over words and service without expectation continues to guide the values and functioning of HOPRAYAS FOUNDATION TRUST.

Collective Participation
Volunteer Strength

The humanitarian work carried out through KPBB and its parallel emergency-response wing KPCF (KP Corona Fighters) has been supported by people from all sections of society, united by compassion and service.

Senior and top-notch doctors from India and overseas voluntarily extended medical guidance and support during emergencies.

Hundreds of retired professionals from various services, based in multiple cities across India and abroad, contributed their time, experience, and wisdom selflessly.

Women volunteers from several cities in India and overseas devoted their time to coordination, relief work, and social support activities.
Youth volunteers and students, including school-going children, participated in awareness drives, relief activities, blood donation campaigns, and community initiatives—learning empathy and social responsibility early in life.
This wide participation reflects the belief that humanitarian service transcends age, profession, gender, geography, and background.
